Thales to support Chamartín station remodelling project

France’s Thales has secured an €8.66m contract from Adif Alta Velocidad to modify the European Rail Traffic Management System, telecommunications, and energy facilities at Chamartín Clara Campoamor station in Madrid, Spain.

Expected to be carried out in 30 months, this remodelling work is projected to enhance the station’s capacity in terms of traffic, train movement and commuters.

SRT to construct another bridge between Nong Khai and Laos

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has received instructions from the Thai Cabinet to construct a second bridge across the Mekong River for connecting Nong Khai province to Laos.

The new infrastructure will pass over the Mekong River from Nong Khai to Laos and support cargo transport through the three nations on the transnational railway.

Singapore’s LTA concludes tunnelling works for Circle Line 6

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority has finished tunnelling works for Circle Line 6 (CCL6), resulting in nearly 55% completion for CCL6’s civil construction works.

The tunnelling works commenced in August 2019 and covered three new stations, namely Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward Road.
