CRRC Ziyang has been selected as the preferred Supplier for its new Generation SDA1 Locomotives to SCT Logistics

Two new generation 3150kW AC transmission diesel locomotives (SDA1) have been delivered to SCT’s depot in July 2021, with another ten due to be delivered to SCT depot in the coming months. These locomotives will be the latest of its class delivering increased horsepower, haulage capacity and improved environmental performance.

This current order is the third SDA1 Locomotive Contract signed between CRRC Ziyang & SCT since 2010. The first batch comprising 6 SDA1 Locomotives were delivered to SCT in 2011. With the Locomotives now reaching 10 years’ operation, the units have exceeded 1,000,000 kilometers to date per unit.

With the arrival of the new 12 SDA1 Locomotives to SCT Logistics, CRRC Ziyang will have 30 units of SDA1 Locomotive running in Australia.

CRRC Ziyang has exported 1,035 diverse Locomotives to 32 countries which represents above 50% of the total volume of diesel locomotives exported from China.
