SBB Cargo now 100% SBB owned 

Switzerland’s national railway company Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), is buying back the 35% stake in the rail freight carrier SBB Cargo owned by minority shareholder Swiss Combi.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Swiss Combi is owned by four freight logistics service providers: Planzer Holding (40%), Camion Transport (40%), Bertschi (10%) and Galliker Holding (10%).

Portchester Equity acquires Yellow Rail

Portchester Equity has broadened its UK rail portfolio by acquiring UK-based rail engineering service company Yellow Rail. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. Portchester Equity’s current rail portfolio consists of WH Davis Group, which itself is made up of train designer and manufacturer WH Davis and Davis Wagon Services, a maintenance and repair services company.

RSK completes 1stinrail acquisition

SK Group has furthered its presence in the rail sector by acquiring 1stinrail, an engineering business that delivers planned and reactive track repairs, renewals, and installation services. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. Established in 1989 RSK Group is a group of 180 environmental, engineering and technical services businesses

Salcef acquires Colmar Technik

Italian construction and engineering company Salcef Group has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Colmar Technik. Colmar Technik designs and manufactures machinery for the construction and maintenance of railway lines at its facilities in Italy. The company also has offices in the US, the UK, Colombia, Russia, and China. The agreement includes an Enterprise Value of approximately €25m ($27.2m), of which €2m ($2.2m) was paid at the time of signing the agreement.
