Building the world's first Hyperloop passenger capsule

Changi Airport’s immersive “Theatre of Experience”

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT), the company that promises to bring airplane speeds to ground level, has recently revealed the construction process behind its first passenger capsule.

Originally envisioned by Elon Musk, there are now several companies in a race against time to turn the futuristic concept into reality. HyperloopTT, the first such company in the world, is ahead of the game, since it provided a first look of its full-scale passenger capsule on 2 October at an unveiling ceremony in Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain.

The capsule was built in Spain by technological company Airtificial, in a process combining 21,000 engineering hours and 5,000 assembly hours. It will be delivered to HyperloopTT’s research and development centre in Toulouse, France for additional assembly and integration into the system, before it is used on one of the first commercial tracks.
